Chat IRL
Occasionally Twitch escapes the internet and wanders into the real world. This time, it wandered into Brooklyn.
We set up a hot dog stand and gave people a choice: buy a normal hot dog, or let Twitch Chat make you one for free. Less like a brand activation and more like a test of character. A few hundred deeply unsettling hotdogs were consumed… to the delight of the Twitch Community.
TwitchCon
TwitchCon happens twice a year—once in the U.S., once in Europe. Along with it comes some marketing: billboards, signage, films, social, web, and all the things that make thousands of people feel welcome.
Below is some of the work I worked on.
Hey Chat
The phrase “Hey Chat” became popular on Twitch and has since been co-opted by TikTok and YouTubers. Now it’s recognized by just about anyone as a direct invitation to weigh in, join in, and be part of a community. We’re owning it and showing up in Piccadilly and Times Square as well as online in ads featuring our biggest streamers like Kai and Ironmouse.
